Welcome and thank you for reading my contributions on HorsemansCorner.com. My name is Janice Jones and I am a British born Texan. Growing up on a farm in Electra, Texas I played with chickens, milked cows, made butter and helped my Granddad on his tractor. The only horse on the place was a palomino gelding named Honey. I thought he was the most beautiful horse I had ever seen and of course, he made a lasting impression on me. Another horse didn’t come along until my daughter was about 8 years old. She wanted to learn to ride and I probably wanted that horse more than she did. Our first one was a very stout Quarter Horse with Doc Bar lineage. We called her Target, as her registered name was Bessie Pine Target and she was as wide as a barn door.
